IMDB rating: 6.70 Plot: When his army unit was ambushed during the first Gulf War, Sergeant Raymond Shaw saved his fellow soldiers just as his commanding officer, then-Captain Ben Marco, was knocked unconscious. Brokering the incident for political capital, Shaw eventually becomes a vice-presidential nominee, while Marco is haunted by dreams of what happened — or didn’t happen — in Kuwait. As Marco (now a Major) investigates, the story begins to unravel, to the point where he questions if it happened at all. Is it possible the entire unit was kidnapped and brainwashed to believe Shaw is a war hero as part of a plot to seize the White House? Some very powerful people at Manchurian Global corporation appear desperate to stop him from finding out. |

What is your favorite Denzel Washington movie?
I love that dudes acting. In whatever role he plays, even if it’s a bad movie (The Taking of Phelam 1 2 3…well it was alright) he still manages to put on an oscar worthy performance.
But anyways, I want to rent a D.W. movie that I’ve never seen tonight but don’t know which one to pick.
Which do you suggest?
P.S. I’ve already seen: The Hurricane, John Q., Training Day, The Taking of Phelam 1 2 3, Inside Man, Remember The Titans, Man on Fire, The Manchurian Candidate, He Got Game (my favorite so far), Antwone Fisher, American Gangster, and Glory.
my favorite one is the hurricane ..oh yea He Got Game was great, man.
el duderino, Malcolm X, man… gotta watch that for sure if you haven’t seen it.
Deja Vu was really good too.
1. Malcolm X
2. Deja Vu
3. Philadelphia or Crimson Tide maybe? I haven’ t seen them yet though

go see "The Book of Eli" and you will love Washington even more. I think his best performance was by far as frank lucas in american gangster, but my favourite overall movie with him in it is inside man, cant wait for inside man 2 to come out.

I really like Denzel Washington. He’s one of my favorite actors and I try to watch all of his movies. I agree that he puts on an amazing performance despite whether or not the movie is good or not.
Deja Vu didn’t get very good reviews but I think Denzel did a great job in it. I like it because I like movies that haven’t been done before. Like Inside Man, I loved that Clive Owen stayed inside of the bank and had them fooled the whole time.
Out of Time was pretty good. The first Denzel movie I watched was The Bone Collector. I can’t remember it exactly but I remember liking it. I think Denzel is in a wheelchair.
I haven’t gotten a chance to watch The Taking of Phelam 123 but I’m sure he did a great job in it. I’ve seen the trailer(s) for The Book of Eli but I can’t seem to understand what it is about. I need to watch the trailer again and maybe read a summary.
I hope my answer was helpful. I tried to think of ones that you haven’t seen yet but that was a bit difficult, lol.

Man on Fire was one of my favorites, but since you have already seen it, I would suggest The Bone Collector, Pelican Brief, or Crimson Tide
