Plot: Set in the distant future, a spaceship carrying some 40 people, mostly ones wanting to settle on other planets from their own, hits a meteor shower and crash lands on a distant planet killing all but about a dozen of them. The survivors, led by the second-in-command Carolyn Fry (‘Rahda Mitchell’ (qv)), find themselves on a hot and humid landscape with constant sunlight from three orbiting suns. Fry not only must help the survivors find food and water, but contend with a deadly criminal, named Riddick (‘Vin Diesel’ (qv)), who was being transported to a prison cell on their destination. But every 22 years, the planet’s three suns go into a total eclipse for a month where darkness brings out the planet’s real inhabitants; large, reptilian, vampire-like creatures that come out and dominate the surface in total darkness, killing and eating all life. The Fry and her people then must cooperate with Riddick, who has surgically enhanced eyes to see in darkness, to lead them to safety and off the planet before they all become dinner for the creatures.

With the economy the way it is today would you go out on strike?
If you worked at a union company?
I headed out this morning to go put a application in at a large company in my area. Get to the place -start to pull in the lot and notice guys all around with huge picket signs. "Unfair Working Conditions" and the such wrote on the signs. I said the hell with it, backed my car out and left.

Another company i once worked for and was laid off from earlier this year, they are going through contract negotiations. The workers rejected the contract due to cuts that were being made in pay and benefits. They have been given a final ultimatum by the company to accept the contract or they will close down and move to another location out of state next year. Im willing to bet these bozos wont accept it. 1000 jobs on the line.

With all of the things going on with the economy today, are you as willing to "rock the boat" at work to prove a point, to get your way, to secure a raise or other benefits? Or are you willing to sit back and do whatever is asked of you just to help keep things running smooth and assuring your job security?

Unions are a plight and secure jobs for those who go on strikes as if they deserve more when the rest of the country is dealing with less (possibly nothing).

Well right now the economy is sooooo incredibly f***ed up, it`s just not the workers that are going through hell, it`s also the people providing the jobs and the governments. California is on the brink of collapse and here in New York where I live we are facing a complete financial crisis in a matter of weeks. Put it this way; I drive a taxi in New York city, and they just added a 15% tax to everything we make. Even though business is down about 80%, even though nobody is taking taxis, they slammed us with a 15% pay cut. Whereas last year at this time during the holiday season I would make anywhere from $130 to $200 a day, I`m lucky if I even take home 70 bucks for 12 hours work. Last Saturday I took home $40…$3 dollars an hour and it`s all because of this absolute freakin MORON in the White House who just can`t get it through his head; When the economy is in a recession, when unemployment is up to almost 11% YOU DO NOT TALK ABOUT RASING TAXES AND TAXING THE HELL OUT PEOPLE WHO CREATE JOBS!!!

I would not go on strike at this time, I would feel lucky that I had a job.
