Do you want help getting a nuke?
So I am so happy today because I got my eleventh nuke as well as the rotating emblem (sickest on Mw2 by far). I also raised my Kill/Death ratio up to 2.07 and unlocked Fall camo for the Barrett, all in the space of 2 hours. I was usually a slightly above average player on WaW, but I feel godly on Mw2. If you’d like here are some strategies I used to drop a nuke.

First of all, make sure to have scavenger and claymores, always come in handy. Also, play Domination. Try to stay in the larger lobbies as they will give you more kills, especially for Chopper Gunner.

Killstreaks: Harrier Strike, Chopper Gunner, Tactical Nuke
Perks: Stopping Power or Hardline, Scavenger
Equipment: Claymores

SCRAPYARD: Stay in the larger ware-house like building that has the second-story catwalk. Plant a claymore in the smaller doorway and climb up. Stay in that place, and when you aren’t firing out of a window and moving amongst the windows, make sure to check the doorways and always be aware of where your allies are. If there are no allies around you, you are not safe. That’s when you look around in your warehouse. After getting a Harrier, run to the spot in the corner that is dark and has a little spot to go prone in, wait for your Chopper Gunner. Once you get it, GAME OVER. Scrapyard is notorious for the highest amounts of spawn-kills, the kills will roll in like money (most satisfying feeling in the world I might add, I got a 39 killstreak here.)

RUNDOWN: There is a variety of places to stay around here. One is in the building next to C where you can look out of the windows and snipe, after planting a claymore in the doorway. (Note. After you kill a man with your claymore, run over to his scavenger pack and pick up another claymore, dropping it once again.) Be careful of snipers and people coming up the stairways, however. Once again, check your minimap to make sure you are safe. Another spot is the small house next to A. You can either go on top of it and pick people off or run and jump to the other 2nd story deck to the left of A.

WASTELAND: One of my personal favorites, and it’s HEAVEN FOR SNIPERS. Equip a strong sniper rifle, Barrett or Intervention, Thermal Scopes. (STOPPING POWER, and use One Man Army if you can so you can switch to a Hardline class and instantly get a 6-killstreak Harrier Strike LOLZ.) Basically, this whole map is a sniping spot. My favorites are the house over by B, the junkyards over by C, and the wall area overlooking A. Continually go crouch and prone to avoid getting sniped yourself, and always be aware. If you hear the whine of a sniper bullet go by you, immediately go prone, and crawl, crawl away. It’s not worth looking into, his scope is already lasered on your @ss lol.

SKIDROW: They said it couldn’t be done, a Nuke on Skidrow is considered the hardest to get. NOT IN MY BOOK, lmao. Best place to camp (yes, camp here, you will not even get a Harrier if you run and gun, there are way too many spots for people to surprise you and pick you off.) Camp by A, in that building. Place a claymore at the very top of the stairway and look out of the windows, shooting any random idiot that comes your way, but be careful, I have found that other people like that spot too, if you know what I mean. You may get a little bullet company in that room.

As an overview, the strategy you must follow if you aren’t blessed with incredibly god-like super run-and-gun powers in order to get a nuke, you must stay low, Only run over open areas, be aware of your mini-map and if you’ve got some allied protection, and camp like a bitsch (not always, but sometimes you must). Camping won’t just give you a nuke though, it’s so much harder in real time, once people spot a camper, they will swarm your spot, so you must protect with claymores and keep dropping em as the baddies drop rofl. MODEL 1887’s AKIMBO help as well, if you really want a nuke, and a nuke emblem as well, don’t prestige until you get them, the later weapons are much better suited to Nuke Hunting. THAT IS ALL.
